The program includes four courses exploring human capital, compensation and culture. Each includes videos, readings, exercises, case studies and quizzes.

This course provides a high-level overview of the structure, role and responsibilities of the compensation committee, paying particular attention to the committee’s expanding role, including the integration of talent risk oversight, DE&I, culture and ESG. Learners will also explore how the compensation committee can create an effective working relationship with other board committees and executive leadership.

At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Articulate the core responsibilities of the compensation committee, including what a compensation committee charter typically covers
  • Identify the key areas in which the work of the compensation committee is evolving

This course introduces executive compensation principles in designing executive pay packages and the latest trends. Participants will then explore the fundamentals in executive compensation design, including how to approach target setting and risk management practices. Finally, learners will consider the nuances of director remuneration in various organization types.

This course provides a deep dive into CEO compensation packages, reviewing the impact of different components on motivation CEO behavior, an overview of recent trends in compensation packages and the different governing regulation pertaining to CEO pay. Participants will then learn best practices in investor engagement, along with the evolving world of say on pay shareholder votes and how to prepare for and deliver an effective CEO performance evaluation.

At the conclusion of this course, you will be able to:

  • Understand the latest trends around the world in CEO compensation.
  • Oversee the construction of a balanced CEO compensation package, understanding the competing factors involved.
  • Recognize different approaches to shareholder and stakeholder engagement, including ways to approach say on pay votes and potential subsequent amendments to executive compensation packages.
  • Approach CEO performance evaluation with best practice principles in mind.

This course delves into the expanding role of the compensation committee, considering the vital role it plays in human capital and culture oversight. Learners will consider human capital as a critical area of risk, along with strategies for effective oversight. Participants will also review the ways in which ESG and DE&I oversight are being incorporated into the compensation committee’s remit at many organizations, along with the committee’s role in helping set the right cultural tone from the top.
