Claudia Sender Ramirez currently serves as non-executive director at the board of several large publicly listed companies in both Europe and Brazil, namely Telefonica S.A in Spain, LafargeHolcim in Switzerland, Gerdau and Embraer in Brazil. She also advises several NGOs, like Amigos do Bem, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein and Gastromotiva.
Before starting her career as a board member, Mrs. Sender Ramirez was the CEO and President of LATAM Airlines Brazil and Clients Vice President for Latam Airlines. She started her career at TAM in December 2011, months before its association with LAN to for Latin America’s largest airline group, LATAM Airlines. Claudia has also worked for 7 years in the Consumer Goods industry at Whirlpool Home Appliances.
During that time she worked on various areas, from strategy to marketing and product development. Prior to that, she worked as a strategy consultant at Bain & Company and served clients in multiple industries and continents.
Claudia graduated as a chemical engineer at Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She was also recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2014.
